FAQ

At Animal Wildlife Trackers Wildlife Company we have come to recognize common wildlife concerns home and business owners tend to experience in the Chicagoland area. Below you will find answers to come of the most frequently asked questions we face.

  • How much does trapping cost?

    • The answer to that depends on the type of animal, where the animal is specifically located in or around your home or business, and the travel distance to your location.  Please call for a quote.

  • Do you offer 24 hour emergency service?

    • Yes we do.  We are always available for emergencies, please call to get more information.

  • I caught an animal in your trap, when will it be picked up?

    • When an animal is caught in our trap, we normally will pick it up that day or the next business day or within 24 hours of capture, depending on what time the animal is called in and our schedule at the time. As soon as you notice an animal in the trap call us.

  • What do you do with the animals that are trapped?

    • We follow the State of Illinois laws regarding the animals caught in our traps.  Some animals can be released, some are required to be euthanized by the State of Illinois.  Call us for more specifics.

  • Do you serve my area?

    • Maybe, please see the map page showing our coverage area. Animal Trackers Wildlife is licensed to serve the whole state of Illinois. If you have a nuisance wildlife issue, call us we may very well be able to help even if your home or business does not fall in our immediate coverage area.

  • Do You work weekends?

    • Yes, we have staff on duty 7 days a week. We also have emergency service available 24 hours, 365 days a year.  Call us for more details

  • I found a baby animal that may be orphaned, what do I do

  • Do you have insurance?

    • YES! We carry liability insurance.  Please contact us if you need a Certificate of Insurance and we can make one available to you.

  • I think a skunk sprayed my home, what can I do?

    • …burn it down? lol. Just kidding! Here are some home remedies worth a try to remove the skunk spray odor.

  • Why can’t I just seal the hole that the animal is using to get into the attic, won’t that stop the problem?

    • Depending on what animal is getting into the attic, this could be disastrous.  The animal that is living in the attic will not like having the front door closed and locked.  It will either be trapped in or out.  If the animal is trapped in, then it will damage the attic to get out or maybe come into the house. If the animal is outside when you seal it, then it will try to open another hole to get back in.

  • My friend at work told me that moth balls, ammonia, smoke bombs and coyote urine keep animals away, is that true?

    • The short answer is…no. These and other chemicals, if they work at all, will only work for a short while.  They would need to be reapplied every few hours, every day in order to have any chance of success. Call us for the long answer.

We are your number one option for wildlife removal, animal proofing your home, and ensuring you will never be bothered by animal nuisances again.
